Aloe vera gel can help promote hair growth as it helps cleanse and nourish the scalp and can help reduce hair breakage and stimulate the hair follicles to promote hair growth.
Aloe vera is rich in vitamins and can contribute to cell turnover (a natural process that involves the constant shedding of dead skin cells and the replacement of it with younger skin cells, over a period of time) and promote healthy cell growth in turn promoting hair growth.
Ingredients:
2 tbsp onion paste
and 2 tbsp fresh aloe vera gel
Method:
To make the onion paste, you can chop up one medium sized onion into four cubes and grind it using a mixer grinder, until it becomes a fine paste. Please see that it becomes like a paste and not a complete liquid.
To make the hair mask, in a small mixing bowl, add in 2 tbsp of the freshly ground onion paste and 2 tbsp of fresh aloe vera gel (cut a fresh leaf in half and remove the gel using a spoon). Mix this well, so that all the fresh aloe vera gel is completely broken down and there are no lumps or pieces left. Then, partition your hair to make the application process easier and apply this mixture evenly onto your scalp and hair (with your fingertips or using a brush) and gently massage in circular motions for five to ten minutes and then let it sit for half an hour before you can wash off with a mild shampoo and conditioner.
