Turmeric is known to clear spots and lighten the skin tone which helps in enhancing skin complexion while the chickpea flour cleanses the skin while helping to clear blemishes. Antioxidants in turmeric help to protect the skin cells from free radical damage and brighten the skin tone.

Chickpea – Baking soda if used correctly can help buff away dead skin layer, exfoliate, and polish skin. It helps unclog pores and also has a brightening effect. It helps dry out acne and blemishes and helps prevent future breakouts.

Turmeric- Turmeric has healing and repairing properties. It has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and an-pigmentation properties that help prevent and treat existing acne and blemishes, lighten pigmentation and even out skin tone. Turmeric also helps reduce skin texture and maintain the health of your skin.

Things you need-

  • chickpea flour – 1 tbsp
  • Yogurt – 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric – 1/4 tsp


In a bowl, add yogurt and chickpea flour. Add in turmeric powder and mix it really well and apply on cleansed skin. Massage for a few minutes and rinse off after 10-15 minutes. Before shower, apply a thick layer all over your body and let it dry for 5 mins. Use gentle circular motions to rinse it off.

Caution – if you have fair skin then the turmeric might stain your skin, so kindly use wild turmeric that is used especially used in skincare which doesn’t stain the skin.
