Cold and flu Tea

A gentle and comforting blend to soothe your cold, flu, and sore throat. This natural cold remedy tea is full of vitamin C and antioxidants.  The anti-inflammatory,  anti-viral, anti-bacterial properties, so combining them will soothe sore and scratchy throats.

You will need

  • Water – 2 cups
  • Freshly grated turmeric or turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Fresh ginger, grated – 1/2 tsp
  • Fresh ground black pepper – a pinch

To make – In a saucepan, add the ingredients and bring it to a boil. Turn off the flame, cover the lid and let the tea steep for 5 mins. You can add in raw honey before consuming the tea.

Boost immunity Tea

Strengthen your immune system and fight infections with this immunity-boosting tea. This tea contains rich anti-inflammatory and antioxidants properties that provide an additional layer of protection to fight infections and promote healing.

You will need

  • Water – 1 cup
  • Black tea leaves – 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon stick – 1 inch
  • Green cardamoms pods – 4
  • Grated fresh ginger – 1/4 tsp
  • Black peppercorns – 4-6
  • Cloves – 3
  • Milk – 1 cup ( optional)
  • sugar or honey to taste

To make – Take cinnamon, cardamom pods, ginger, pepper, and cloves into a mortar and pestle and lightly crush all the spices. In a saucepan, add water along with the crushed spices and simmer on low for 5 mins. After 5 mins, add in milk if required and tea leaves and simmer again for 2-3 mins. Turn off the flame and strain the tea into a cup. Sip on it warm.
