OAT MILK RECIPE – NON SLIMY
- Rolled oats – 1 cup
- Water – 4 cups
Optional Ingredients –
- Raw honey – 1 tbsp
- Salt – 1/4 tsp
Add rolled oats with water and ice cubes into a high-speed blender. Add in salt and raw honey and blend on high for 30 secs. Do not over blend the oats. To make the oats non-slimy, add ice cubes as the heat from the blender will cook the oats make the oat milk slimy.
Pour the oat milk over a nut bag to strain the milk. Do not squeeze too much when u strain the oat milk. Lightly squeeze the oats and strain the milk into a jar. You can add the leftover oats that is in the nut back to the blend and process again with some water and strain it.
WAYS TO USE OAT MILK
Drink the oat milk and also add it in your coffee, smoothie and also to prepare vegan pancakes.
Tips – Use organic rolled oats that is gluten free to make oat milk. Use ice cubes to make it non slimy.
