Things you need:
- Fresh ginger, (peeled and grated) – 1 cup
- Honey or sugar – 1/4 cup
- Water – 2 cups
- Sparkling water, (or club soda)
- lemon juice
Method: Boil water on low heat and add ginger to it. Let it simmer for 30 mins and then remove from the flame and let it steep for 30 mins. Strain the ginger and add in honey or sugar. Chill the ginger syrup in a covered jar until cold.
To make a ginger ale drink – add 2 tbsp of ginger syrup, 1 tbsp of lemon juice, and top it off with Sparkling water
Since ginger ale is acidic in nature, it kills all the unwanted bacterial in the tummy and speeds up digestion too. It also prevents spasms related to bowel movement. Ginger contains an active ingredient called ‘Gingerol’. It creates relief in our body’s digestive system by slowing down the intestinal spasms.
