5 Easy and Healthy Bread Recipes to Try At Home:
1. 4 Ingredients wheat bread –
Ingredients:
- 4 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 Packet Instant Yeast or 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1-2 cups room temperature water
- 2 tsp Maple Syrup ( optional)
Method:
Into a large bowl, add in flour, yeast and salt and mix well. Then add in the water and mix it well until well combined dough ball. Transfer to a greased 9×5 loaf pan with butter or line the pan with a parchment paper. Set it aside for at least an hour before baking, so it can rise and double up in size.
While the dough is resting, preheat to 390°F (200°C). Then bake the bread for around 40 minutes until the top is dark golden brown. Lastly, remove from the oven and cool before cutting it into slices.
Note – Start with 1 cup of water and gradually add in more water if required.
2. 3 ingredients healthy oats bread
Ingredients:
3 cups oat flour
2 tbsp baking powder aluminum-free
1 ½ cups plain whole milk yogurt
salt ( optional)
Method:
In a blender add in oats to blend it into a flour. Into a large bowl, add in the oat flour, baking powder and mix well. You can also add in some salt to enhance the flavor. Slowly pour in the yogurt and mix it using a spatula. Keep folding in the yogurt until you get evenly and completely incorporated dough that should be very thick and sticky.
Scrape the dough to a baking tin parchment paper, you can wet your fingers with water to gently smooth out the surface of the dough. Sprinkle some rolled oats on the top and gently press the oats into the surface of the bread. Preheat the over to 350°F and bake the bread for about 40-45 minutes. The bread should be lightly browned on top. Let the bread cool before you cut. Bread can be toasted or eaten as is with your favorite spread.
3. 2 ingredients Cream cheese bread
Ingredients:
- 4 large eggs, separated
- 2 ounces low-fat cream cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar ( optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt ( optional)
Method:
Separate the egg whites and add them to a mixer with whip attachment. Add the cream of tartar and beat on high until the froth turns into firm meringue peaks.
Next, place the cream cheese in another mixing bowl and beat on high until soft. Add in one egg yolk at a time and beat until the mixture is smooth. Very gently fold in the egg whites into the cream cheese.
Using a 1/4 cup pour the batter on a baking sheet making some 6-8 pancake sized circles. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F and bake for up to 30 minutes. Cool for several minutes on the baking sheets, before you serve!
4. 2-ingredient Tiktok viral cloud bread
Ingredients:
- 3 large egg whites straight from fridge
- 2 tbsp honey
Recipe –
Add in the egg whites to a mixer with whip attachment (You can also use a hand mixer) and beat on high until frothy. Very slowly add in the honey and continue to beat until stiff peaks form. Scoop the batter onto a baking sheet and form a oval bread with a height of about 2.5 inches tall. If you have more batter make 2 bread loafs.
Preheat oven to 300°F (149°C) and then bake for about 25-30 minutes. When the bread is done, it should be a medium brown color. Let the bread cool before you cut and serve.
5. One ingredient – buckwheat bread
Ingredients:
500 g hulled buckwheat kernels
Add the buckwheat kernels to a bowl and rinse several times until the water runs clean. Transfer the rinsed buckwheat to a bowl and pour in some cold water, ensuring the kernels are fully submerged. Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and let it sit overnight.
The next day, drain the water ( do not rinse) and transfer the kernels a blender with 200ml water and a little salt. Blend, starting at low speed and slowly increasing the speed. Pour the blended buckwheat batter into a bowl and cover with a tea towel. Let it sit at room temperature for 24 hours.
When you’re ready to bake, preheat your oven to 350 °F. Pour the batter into a loaf pan lined with a baking paper. You can sprinkle some seeds on the surface. Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 90 minutes. The bread should be golden brown and firm to the touch. Cool for several minutes on the baking sheets, before you serve!
