Here are some popular Indian home remedies for common problems:

ACNE

Acne is the most common skin problem that affects people of all ages especially teenagers.

Remedy 1: You need to mix one teaspoon of honey and 1/4 tsp turmeric powder. Rub this mixture over your skin and leave it on for 30 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water.

Remedy 2: You can mix aloe vera gel with turmeric and use the solution as a mask.

CONSTIPATION

Constipation is a very common digestive disorder that causes difficulty passing stools.

Remedy 1: Take one cup of fennel seeds and dry roast them. Then, grind them and sieve the mixture. Store this powder in a jar and use it as digestive powder. Take half a teaspoon of this powder daily with warm water if you frequently suffer from constipation.

COLD AND COUGH

Cold and cough can occur almost randomly, especially during the change in season. These Indian home remedies can help you with this common respiratory problem.

Remedy 1: Squeeze half a lemon in a cup of warm water and add one teaspoon of honey and consume.

Remedy 2: You may eat raw ginger several times a day or drink ginger tea. For enhance the effectiveness of ginger tea, add a lemon juice and honey to it.

HEADACHES

Headache can occur almost anywhere, anytime. It is not always recommended to take medicines for it since they can have harmful effects when taken frequently. Instead, you may try these remedies.

Remedy 1: Mix equal parts of ginger juice and lemon juice. Consume it once or twice a day.

Remedy 2: Put a few drops of lavender essential oil on a tissue and inhale it.

SLEEP REMEDY with milk and honey

Honey is an age-old ayurvedic remedy for sleep problems. Organic honey is a true miracle food to eat directly before you go to sleep. A spoonful before bed or mixed with chamomile tea or milk could give you a more restful sleep.

Peel fresh ginger and slice thinly. Boil the ginger slices in water for at least 5 minutes. For a stronger and tangier tea, allow to boil for about 10 minutes or more, and use more slices of ginger. Remove from heat and add lime juice and honey to consume warm.
