Commercial shampoos contain ingredients like SLS and parabens that damage the hair and may also cause hair fall. Infused with natural hair care ingredients this homemade natural shampoo cleanses and nourishes your hair naturally. This natural shampoo revives weakening roots, repairs damaged hair, and conditions from scalp to tip.
Soapnuts or saopberries – It is a mild cleanser that does not strip the hair of its natural oils. The pulp of this fruit contains a high level of saponins that act as natural foaming agents.

You will need –
- Soapnuts Powder – 1/2 cup
- Fenugreek Powder or gram flour powder – 1/4 cup
- Shikakai Powder – 1 tbsp ( optional)
- Essential Oil – 10+ drops ( optional)
- Lightweight hair oil – ( optional)
Mix soapnuts powder and fenugreek powder together in a jar. If you love essential oils then add in few drops of peppermint or rosemary essential oil and mix well. Essential oils have hair growth boosting benefits and treat hair fall. You can add tea tree oil if you have dry scalp or dandruff. Store the powder in an air-tight glass container.

To use – Take 2-3 tbsp. of powder depending add hot water or hot green tea to make it into a shampoo consistency. Add 1/2 tsp of any lightweight oils like coconut oil or argan oil or fresh aloe vera gel to the shampoo if you have dry damaged hair. If you have oiled your hair then add 1 tsp of castile soap to the mixture to get rid of oil from your hair.
Mix it well and apply the shampoo to your scalp, massage it in and leave it on for 2-3 mins. Rinse off the shampoo and use a conditioner on your hair – RICE HAIR GROWTH CONDITIONER CUBES You can also finish with a hair rinse to add shine and soften your hair.
Caution – When you start using natural cleansers to wash your hair, your hair might feel dry, rough or you might even experience hair fall as your hair will be going to a transition phase to get adjusted to the natural ingredients as opposed to the chemical ones from the commercial shampoos. Once your hair gets used to the natural routine then you will experience healthy hair growth.
