You will need –

• Onion
• Amla or rosemary leaves
• Almond, olive oil or sesame oil

Chop onion and add 1/4 cup of onion into a blender jar, now add in 1/4 cup of chopped fresh amla or rosemary leaves into the jar. Add in 1/2 cup of any hair oil of your choice. Blender really well until it is smooth. If you don’t like to use oil on your hair then you can skip the oil but since I have dry hair I like to use an onion with hair oil to deep condition my hair.

Using a cheesecloth and a strainer, strain the mixture really well. Use this as a hair serum. Massage a small amount on your scalp and apply to your hair. Leave it on for 30 mins and wash it off using a mild shampoo.

Tips – The amla or rosemary when mixed with onion masks the smell of onion so you can comfortably use the serum on your hair without the onion smell. But if you still feel your hair smells like onion then wash your hair with shampoo and a good conditioner and use a hair rinse like a vinegar or coffee hair rinse to add shine to your hair and also get rid of any onion smell.
