Method:
Place the rose petals and jasmine flowers into a colander and wash them thoroughly underwater to get rid of all the impurities. Make sure to rinse them well, as this water will be used on your skin and hair.
Once the rose petals and jasmine flowers have been washed well, take a deep bottomed heating pot (or a heatproof glass pot if available) and add in the rose petals and jasmine flower. Next, pour in some filtered water just enough to cover all the flowers.
Then, place another small-sized container (or glass) in the center of the pot on top of the flowers, to collect the condensed water. Thereafter, cover the pot with an inverted lid, place on the stove and simmer on low flame for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, turn off the flame and let it cool. Transfer the collected condensed water in the small container or glass into a spray bottle and it is ready for use.
The remaining water which contained the flowers (which would have now turned slightly reddish because of the roses) can be strained into a container and can then be used.
Here’s a tip: In order to speed up the condensation process, place 6 to 10 ice cubes on top of the inverted lid and let it melt.
