1. Dried ginger candy:

2. Mint/Peppermint tea:
Peppermint has an antispasmodic effect on the body. This property of peppermint can help relieve stomach problems and keep indigestion at bay. Therefore, you could sip on a cup of peppermint tea or even chew on a peppermint candy after your meal.
How to make mint/peppermint tea:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 2 tsp tea leaves/tea powder of your choice
- 8 – 10 mint/peppermint leaves
- 1 tsp honey
Method:
Into a heating pot add in the water, tea leaves/tea powder and mint/peppermint leaves (wash it properly before using it). Let it come to a boil and then cover it with a lid and let it simmer for 5 to 6 minutes on low flame. Turn off the flame, strain into a cup, add in the honey and it is ready to consume. Do not drink or eat anything else after this for 15 minutes to 30 minutes for the best effect.
Caution: If you already have acid reflux, then do not drink this tea. You can drink this only to keep indigestion at bay and not once you already have it.

4. Carom seeds:
Carom seeds are also great for relieving stomach cramping, nausea and bloating, as they have phytonutrients that give fennel its antioxidative properties. Fennel tea recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1/2 tsp raw carom seeds
- 1 cup of hot water
Method:
In a cup, add in one tsp of carom seeds and then top the cup with hot water. Please see that the water is not boiling hot, but just hot enough. Then, give it a slight mix and cover the cup and let it sit for around 10 to 15 minutes. When you take off the lid after 10 to 15 minutes, the seeds would have swollen as the water would have got infused into the seeds and the colour of the water would have turned into light green. Then, the fennel tea is ready to consume, just the way it is, without having to strain out the seeds, as consuming the seeds is good for health.
Tip: You can even consume fennel tea on a daily basis by soaking 1 tsp of these seeds in one glass of water overnight and drinking it on an empty stomach the next morning.
5. Cinnamon:
Cinnamon also known as ‘dalchini’ in India, is a commonly used spice to relieve acidity and indigestion. Cinnamon helps reduce and cure indigestion by its antimicrobial effects that can kill the harmful bacteria or pathogens in the stomach and restore stomach health and promote proper digestion.
Cinnamon can be consumed in the form of cinnamon candies or even as cinnamon tea after your meals.

- 1 glass hot water
- 2 one-inch sticks of cinnamon

- ½ tsp lemon juice (optional)
Method:

6. Lemon: Lemon has an alkaline effect which can neutralize stomach acid and aid one’s digestion.
You can simply mix ½ tsp lemon juice into one glass of warm water (and add in 1 tsp of honey if you wish to) and consume after your meal.
