TURMERIC SOAP – skin brightening and clearing

Make a homemade natural soap using turmeric. The natural antiseptic and skin brightening properties of turmeric, purifies and refines the skin, giving it a sensual sheen.

TURMERIC SOAP - skin brightening and clearing

You will need –

  • Goats milk soap base or any other soap base- 500 gms
  • Turmeric – 1 tsp

you just need two ingredients to make the soap but here are other ingredients u can add to the soap –

  • Shea butter – 1 tbsp ( optional)
  • Essential oil – 10 drops ( optional)

Take goat’s milk soap base and cut it into cubes. Place a saucepan along with some water in it, place a bowl on top of the saucepan to create a double boiler. Melt the soap base on low flame. Once the soap base is completely melted, add in the turmeric powder and stir really well until the turmeric is well mixed with the soap base. You can add melted shea butter to the soap base if you have extremely dry skin.

Remove from the heat, add in few drops of essential oil to make your soap smell good, and pour the soap into a soap mold. Soap molds are available online or u can also use a cardboard box or u can also cut out the bottom of a pringles chips container n and pour the soap into it. Let the soap set completely at room temperature overnight.

Unmold the soap from the mold and wrap them in a plastic wrap and store them in a cool dry place.

Wet skin with warm water, gently apply the soap to create a lather and rinse clean. Store in a cool, dry place to avoid quick melting of the soap.

** The turmeric soap will not stain the skin or the bathtubs. Be sure to use a wild turmeric, also known as Kasturi manjal that is specially used in skincare products. Wild turmeric is non-edible and will not stain the skin. READ MORE – Hair Wash Powder for thicker, longer stronger hair
