THICKER HAIR GROWTH SERUM RECIPES

Hair serums are hair styling products that coat the hair shafts and protect the hair from hair damage and make your hair look shinier and healthier in appearance.

NATURAL HAIR GROWTH SERUM RECIPES

Here are 4 DIY hair growth serums you can try at home:

1. Black seed and aloe vera hair serum:

Black seeds contain a phytochemical compound called ‘thymoquinone’ that contains proteins, alkaloids and saponins that can help boost hair growth. Rosemary essential oil can help stimulate the hair follicles from within and prevent hair thinning and baldness. Aloe vera has moisturizing properties that can soothe and condition the hair.

Ingredients:

¼ cup fresh aloe vera gel

1 tbsp black seed oil

2 to 4 drops rosemary essential oil

Method:

Into a mixer blender, add in the freshly extracted aloe vera gel and blend it until it becomes a fine liquid. Then add in the black seed oil and rosemary essential oil and give it a quick blend and pour into a small spray bottle.

To use: Shake the bottle well before use, each time. Spray some of this serum after a head bath or just before you go to sleep, massage in a few drops on your scalp and hair. READ MORE – 2 POWERFUL HAIR GROWTH SEEDS – regrow thinning hair

2. Argan oil and amla hair serum:

Argan oil helps seal moisture and makes the hair look hydrated, while the amla helps strengthen the hair and restore its shine, making the hair look bright and shiny. The castor oil will help improve hair health and promote hair growth.

Ingredients:

½ cup freshly grated amla

1 cup argan oil

¼ cup castor oil

Method:

Into a heating pot, add in the argan oil, castor oil and the freshly grated amla and mix it and let it come to a boil, with the flame on low heat. Then let it cool for 4 to 5 minutes and then strain this mixture into a small bottle and it is ready to use.

To use: Add a few drops of this serum onto your palm, rub your palms together and apply this over your hair after a head bath. You can also apply a few drops on your scalp and massage it in.

3. Coconut oil and rose water hair serum:

Rose water has mild astringent properties that can help reduce hair oiliness and help reduce dandruff. It can also help restore hair shine.

Ingredients:

1 tbsp coconut oil

2 tbsp fresh aloe vera gel

1½ tbsp rose water

Method:

Into a mixer blender, add in the freshly extracted aloe vera gel and blend it until it becomes a fine liquid. Then add in the coconut oil, rose water and the vitamin E capsule (you can squirt out the liquid by pricking a hole in the capsule) and give it a quick blend and pour into a small spray bottle. You can also drop in 2 to 4 drops of any essential oil of your choice. Shake this serum well before every use.

To use: Spray some of this serum after a head bath or just before you go to sleep, massage in a few drops on your scalp and hair.

4. Onion serum:

Onion oil helps nourish and strengthen the hair in turn preventing hair fall and promoting hair thickness. It can also help smoothen the hair and add shine to the hair. It can help stimulate the hair follicles and prevent the scalp from dryness and itching. Read more – NATURAL HAIR SERUM to stop hair fall

Here are some tips to use hair serums the right way:

  • Store hair serums in dark bottles, especially those containing essential oils, to maintain the volatility and effectiveness of the essential oils.
  • Apply hair serums when your hair is damp, not soaking wet after your shower. So, pat dry your wet hair after your shower to get rid of excess water (do not rub the towel on your head, as it will cause the hair to break as it is brittle after the head bath).
  • Do not overuse serums as it will make your hair excessively oily/greasy.
