HOME REMEDIES FOR HEAD LICE
Is your scalp feeling itchy all the time? It can either be the dry scalp, dandruff or even head lice. Getting rid of head lice cannot be an easy thing to do. You can definitely use lice-removal products that are available on the market, but it isn’t 100% effective and takes several sessions to completely get rid of lice. Inhibiting lice instead of physically removing is the best way to treat it. Below are some home remedies to inhibit lice-
TEA TREE OIL HEAD LICE REMEDY
In a bowl, add 1/4 cup coconut oil and 5-10 drops of tea tree oil. Stir and apply liberally on scalp and hair. Wear a shower cap for 2 hours or overnight. Shampoo off the oil the next morning. Use 2 times a week until you are satisfied with the results.
NEEM HEAD LICE REMOVAL MASK
In a bowl, add 3 tablespoons neem powder and enough apple cider vinegar to make a paste. Apply a thick layer on scalp and wear a shower cap for 2 hours. Shampoo the mask off and use the lice-comb after hair dries to remove dead lice.
HEAD LIFE REMEDY HERBAL WATER
In a pan, add 1 cup water and 2 Tbsps of dried or fresh rosemary leaves. Simmer on low for 5 minutes and turn off the flame. Let it cool and strain the rosemary leaves. Add in 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar to the mixture. Transfer to a spray bottle ad spray liberally on your hair and scalp. Leave it overnight for best results. Shampoo it off the next morning.
COCONUT OIL HEAD LICE REMEDY
In a bowl, add an equal amount of coconut oil and lemon juice. Apply the mixture on the scalp and hair and wear a shower cap. Leave it overnight for the best results. Shampoo off the oil the next morning with a mild or herbal shampoo.
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR HEAD LICE REMEDY
In a spray bottle, add ½ cup apple cider vinegar and ½ cup water. Shake well and spray liberally on scalp and hair. Massage well and let it sit for 2 hours. Shampoo off and use the lice-comb after hair dries to remove dead lice. Use 2 times a week until you are satisfied with the results.
