Fenugreek hair mask

Uses: To moisturize the hair and for hair growth


2 tbsp fenugreek seeds

1 cup hot water

2 tsp coconut oil

Method: Into a cup of hot water, add in 2 tbsp of fenugreek seeds and let it soak overnight for the seeds soften.

Once the seeds have softened, strain the fenugreek seeds and pour it into a mixer grinder and grind it into a fine paste. Pour into a bowl, add it the coconut oil and it is then ready to use.

To use: Dampen the scalp and hair and only then apply this hair mask. Leave it on for 30 minutes before rinsing off.


Fenugreek seeds and coconut oil act as natural emollients that can help moisturize the hair. Fenugreek seeds also contain plant compounds like flavonoids and saponins that can help induce hair growth.

Soapnuts or reetha hair wash powder

Uses: To increase hair thickness, to fight dandruff


Soapnuts or shikakai can help nourish brittle hair, fight dandruff and improve hair thickness. Fenugreek seeds have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce dandruff, scalp irritation and scalp infections. Rice water can help strengthen the hair and promote hair growth.


2 tbsp soapnuts or shikakai powder

1 tbsp fenugreek powder

¼ cup rice water

Method: Mix all the ingredients into a smooth paste and let it sit for around half an hour to one hour before using it. After half an hour, you will notice that the mixture has thickened, add in some water and make it a runny consistency.

To use: Partition your hair and apply this evenly all over your scalp and hair. Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes before washing off with plain water. Lastly, condition your hair with your regular conditioner.

Aloe vera hair scrub 

Used for: Dry hair, dandruff and add volume


¼ cup fresh aloe vera gel

1 tbsp fine sugar

2 to 4 drops rosemary essential oil

Method: Into a bowl add all the ingredients and mix it well to make a scalp scrub.

To use: While in shower, dampen your hair and apply a small amount on your scalp. Exfoliate the scalp very gently for 1 min in small circular motion and rinse off.

2 tbsp aloe vera gel

Method: Mix the shea butter and aloe vera gel until well combined.

To use: Take a pea-sized amount of the shea butter and aloe vera hair butter mixture on your palm. Rub your palms together and apply this all over your hair with down ward strokes, just to improve hair shine and lustre.

To use: Spray it onto your hair and scalp, massage it in and leave it on for 1 hour, before rinsing off.
