Healthy Mini Treats – Base + Variations

Healthy Mini Base Recipe

Makes: 2–3 mini portions

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oat flour
  • 1 egg (or 2 tbsp yogurt for eggless)
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup or monk fruit
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup milk (any type)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • Pinch of salt

Method

  1. Whisk wet & dry ingredients separately, then combine.
  2. Pour into mini silicone moulds or ramekins.
  3. Bake 12–15 minutes at 170°C or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Air Fryer Method

  • Preheat air fryer to 160°C for 3 minutes.
  • Place batter-filled moulds inside.
  • Air fry 10–12 minutes.
  • If tops brown too fast, cover loosely with foil.

Tip: Avoid touching the sides of the basket to prevent uneven baking.


Using Monk Fruit Sweetener

You can replace honey or maple syrup with monk fruit:

  • Use 2–3 tbsp monk fruit sweetener instead.
  • Add 1–2 tsp extra milk if the batter thickens.
  • For best texture: use half honey + half monk fruit the first time.

Variations

Chocolate Mini

    • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
    • 1–2 tbsp dark chocolate chips

Lemon Blueberry

    • 1 tsp lemon zest
    • 2 tbsp blueberries

Banana Walnut

    • replace honey with 1/2 mashed banana
    • 1 tbsp chopped walnuts

Carrot Cinnamon

    • 2 tbsp grated carrot
    • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Coffee Almond

    • 1 tsp instant coffee in 1 tsp warm milk
    • 1 tbsp almonds

Protein Boost

    • replace 2 tbsp oat flour with 2 tbsp protein powder
    • 1 tbsp nut butter

Matcha Coconut

    • 1/2 tsp matcha powder
    • 1 tbsp desiccated coconut

Apple Spice

    • 2 tbsp finely chopped apple
    • pinch cinnamon & nutmeg

Tips for Soft & Moist Minis

  • Do not overmix the batter
  • Do not overbake—check 2 minutes early
  • Add 1 tbsp yogurt for extra tenderness
  • Let cool 5 minutes before removing from moulds

Serving & Storage

  • Store airtight 2–3 days
  • Freeze for up to 1 month
  • Warm 10–15 seconds before serving
