Here are 6 healthy bedtime drinks:
Saffron tea:
Saffron tea has multiple benefits. It can help prevent cancer, improve eyesight, promote better skin health, promote better digestion and also fight inflammation in the body.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk
- 10 strands of saffron
- A pinch of cardamom/elaichi powder
- Honey to taste
Method:
Into a heating pot, add half a cup of milk and the strands of saffron and let it come to a boil. You will see that the color of the milk has changed. Then, add in the other half cup of milk along with the elaichi powder and let it boil for 2 to 4 minutes before turning off the flame. Pour into a cup and it is ready to consume.
CCF tea:
CCF tea is well-known to be one of the most effective sleep remedies. It can also promote relaxation from stress and anxiety. Valerian tea can be especially beneficial to women to reduce the effects of menstrual symptoms and reduce the symptoms of menopause.
Method:
Into a cup of hot water, add the valerian root tea bag and let it sit for 10 minutes, covered with a lid so that the valerian can get infused into the water. Then, remove the tea bag and consume it.
Moon milk:
Moon milk contains various ingredients like cinnamon, ashwagandha, nutmeg, ginger, coconut oil, etc, which can be a powerful bedtime drink as consuming it can help your body reap the benefits of all these ingredients.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk
- ½ tsp ashwagandha powder

Method:
Into a heating pot, add the milk and let it heat up on low flame (do not let it boil). Once heated, add in the ashwagandha powder, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg powder (optional) and let it continue to get heated for 3 to 4 minutes before turning off the flame. Then pour into a cup, add in the coconut oil and honey or maple syrup, stir well and consume.
Chamomile tea:
Apart from inducing sleep, chamomile tea can help boost digestive health, promote better skin health and also protect the body against harmful diseases as it is rich in antioxidants.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp organic dried chamomile flowers
(Or powder) - Honey to taste
Method:
Into a heating pot, add the water and dried chamomile flowers and let it come to a boil. Cover the pot with a lid and then let it simmer for 5 to 6 minutes on slow heat. Then turn off the flame, strain, add in the honey, stir well and it is ready to consume.
Tip: If you do not have chamomile powder or dried flowers, you can use 1 to 2 chamomile tea bags, depending on how you like them.
Caution: Chamomile tea may not agree with everyone and can have side effects like allergies etc, which could also vary depending on the potency of the chamomile. So, it is advisable to start off with very low potency of chamomile in your tea and slowly increase it based on the reaction it has with your body.
Golden milk (turmeric milk):
