Vinegar Steam for sinus infection
Breathing in a combination of steam and apple cider vinegar vapor may help relieve sinus infections and the headaches they can cause.
Loosens mucus: helps thin mucus and loosen phlegm from the throat.
Kills pathogens: The vinegar can kill pathogens that cause infections.
Relieves congestion: Apple cider vinegar can help relieve congestion and sinus pressure.
Mix about 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar with 2 cups of water. ( you can add in some dried peppermint leaves for added benefits) Heat the mixture until it boils, and then inhale the steam for about 2-3 minutes.
Pineapple Cough syrup
Bromelain, which is in pineapple, works as a decongestant and anti-inflammatory agent. It is an enzyme that is known to be beneficial in treating sinusitis. As a lytic agent, pineapple juice helps in thinning out mucus. It is loaded with vitamin C which boosts immunity. It contains manganese, which helps prevent cell damage.
- Fresh pineapple juice- 1 cup
- Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
- Chopped Ginger – 1 inch
- Pepper- a pinch
- Salt- a pinch
Recipe: Blend pineapple juice with ginger, turmeric, pepper, and salt. Drink ¼ cup of this syrup twice a day.
Homemade Vicks
Ingredients –
- 1 Cup Of Coconut Oil
- 10 Drops Of Eucalyptus Essential Oil Drops
- 5 Drops of peppermint Essentials oil
Mix Oils. Store In A Mason Jar In A Cool Place. Apply It To Chest and Feet

Flu fighting Tea
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of water
- Juice of half a lemon
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/4 inch of fresh ginger
- 1/4 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 1 pinch cayenne
Add all ingredients to a pot and bring to a boil. Once boiling reduce heat and let simmer for about 10 minutes. Pour tea through a strainer and add 1 tbsp of honey, drink while warm.
Bone broth boost immunity
Ingredients –
• 2 pounds chicken bones
• 2 chicken feet for added gelatin (optional)
• 1 onion
• 2 whole carrots
• 2 stalks of celery
• 2 tbsp cider vinegar (with the Mother)
• 2 garlic cloves, smashed
• water – 16 cups
Stovetop / Slow cooker Method
Combine all ingredients in slow cooker or stovetop and simmer for 15 hours. Once done, strain out whole bones and vegetables.
Instant Pot Method –
Combine all ingredients in an instant pot with 10 cups of water and cook on
high pressure for 2 hours.
Onion tea for cold and sore throat
Ingredients –
- 1/2 Onion Sliced
- 1/2 Lemon Sliced
- 1 Teaspoon fresh Ginger
- 2 Cups Water
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
Peel and cut the onion into even slices, and add to saucepan. Slice the lemon and add to the pot. Pour water and ground ginger over onion and lemon slices.
Bring the pot to a boil and then allow to simmer for about 10 minutes. Strain the tea. Stir in honey. Sip war
Golden Honey to boost immunity and fight cold
Ingredients –
- 1/2 cup raw honey
- 2 tsp turmeric powder
- A pinch of black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1/2 tsp ginger powder
Stir together all ingredients in a bowl. Taste and add more ginger or turmeric if needed. Aim for a really strong flavor. Take a tsp of it in the morning or Add a few teaspoons to a cup of warm water or smoothie to make a healthy drink.
