1. Glowing skin – Honey + cucumber or aloe vera gel
Using this mask can help keep acne away. It moisturizes the skin and fights acne and breakouts.
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp aloe vera gel or cucumber gel
Method: Into a bowl, add the honey, and aloe gel and mix well into a nice paste. Then it is ready to use.
2. Pigmentation – Turmeric + Aloe
This face mask can help reduce pigmentation and lighten dark patches. It can also help lighten and even out skin tone.
Ingredients:
1 tbsp aloe vera gel
½ tsp organic turmeric powder
Method:
Into a mixing bowl, add in the aloe vera and turmeric powder. Mix this well until properly blended. It is then ready to use.
- Brighten – Licorice + Yogurt
This face mask can help brighten skin tone and help get rid of pigmentation while improving uneven skin tone.
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp yogurt
- 1 tsp licorice powder
Method:
Combine both these ingredients well in a mixing bowl until it forms a paste. Then, it is ready to use.
- Oily skin – Clay + Rose Water
This mask is perfect to help get rid of blackheads as it can tighten the pores on the skin and get rid of excess oil and buildup, cleaning up blackheads.
Ingredients:
1 tsp bentonite clay
2 tbsp rose water
Method:
Into a mixing bowl, combine the bentonite clay along with the rose water and mix until it forms a semi-liquid paste. If needed, add in a little extra rose water till you get the desired consistency. Then, it is ready to use.
- Dry skin – shea butter + Aloe or oil
This face mask can help get rid of dark circles and can also help soothe the skin and keep it hydrated. Thus, it can reduce puffiness as well.
Ingredients:
1 tbsp aloe vera gel or 1 tsp face oil like rosehip oil or bakuchiol oil
1 tbsp shea butter
Method:
In a mixing bowl, mix the aloe vera gel with shea butter, until it becomes a smooth paste. Then, it is ready to use.
- Minimize Pores – Egg white or aloe vera + Coffee
This face mask can help get rid of buildup from the pores on the face, by tightening them. It can also seal the pores and get rid of blackheads.
1 egg white or 1 tbsp aloe vera gel
1 tsp instant coffee powder
Method:
Into a large mixing bowl, add the egg white and coffee powder and beat this mixture well until frothy. You can also use a fork, whisk/hand blender, or blender for the mixing part. It is then ready to use.
How to use these face masks the right way?
Step 1: Cleanse your face well using plain water.
Step 2: Using an applicator brush or your fingertips, gently apply this mask all over your face.
Caution: Avoid applying the egg mask/coffee, and bentonite clay/rose water masks too close to the eyes as it can cause irritation. Also, while applying the other masks as well, do not let them come in contact with the eyes. If it doesn’t, rinse off immediately with plain water, and do not rub your eyes.
Step 3: Let the mask rest on your face for 10 to 15 minutes, while you sit under the fan for and let it dry.
Step 4: Then, wash off with plain water or lukewarm water, and then use a mild cleanser for the best effects.
