Then, rinse your fruits or vegetables that you’re going to be using, under running water and then soak them in the water-distilled vinegar mixture for 15 to 20 minutes.
After it’s done soaking, you can drain out the liquid mixture and rinse those same fruits/vegetables under running water for a few minutes and they are ready to be cooked or eaten.
Note: In case you aren’t directly consuming the washed fruits and vegetables, then make sure to dry them out on a kitchen towel, until all the water is completely gone, before putting them away into a storage bin or in the refrigerator. Here’s a tip: You can simply soak and wash only the desired quantity of fruits and vegetables to be consumed at a particular time doing this, it can save you the work of drying out all the fruits and vegetables before having to store them.
Method 2: Using Plain Cool Water
For those of you who do not wish to use the above method on a daily basis, then you can simply fill your bowl with plain cool water and soak your fruits/vegetables (rinse them under running water before soaking them) in the water for 15 minutes.
Thereafter, drain out the water and wash the fruits/vegetables under running water well before using/eating.
Lastly, for the fruits and vegetables not going to be consumed immediately, make sure to follow the drying step (as mentioned above), before storing them in a bin or in the refrigerator.
