  • 1 cup water
  • ½ tsp grated ginger
    (Or 1 tsp if you enjoy the flavour of ginger)
  • ½ tsp lemon juice (optional)
  • Honey to taste

Method:

Into a heating pot, add in the water and grated ginger and let it come to a boil. Cover the pot with a lid and then let it simmer for 5 to 6 minutes on slow heat. Then turn off the flame, strain, add in the honey and lemon juice (optional), stir well and it is ready to consume.

Ingredients:

  • 1 glass of water
  • 3 to 4 rosemary stalks
    (Stalks should be around 3 to 4 inches in length)
  • Honey to taste

Method:

In a vessel, boil one glass of water along with the rosemary leaves (rinse them under water before dropping them in) and let it boil for two minutes before you can turn off the flame. Then let it sit for another two minutes and then you can strain into a cup and add honey to taste, it is ready to be consumed.

  • 1 cup water
    (250 ml)
  • 10 fresh hibiscus petals
    (½ tbsp dried hibiscus petals)

Method:

Into a heating pot, add in one cup of water and once it starts to heat up, add in the hibiscus petals (wash these petals properly under running water before use) and let it come to a boil and let it simmer for 15 minutes (cover it with a lid). You will soon notice that the colour has changed. Turn off the flame and leave it covered for 5 to 10 minutes, so that the hibiscus petals get infused into the water. Then strain this into a cup and add in the lemon juice, stir well and it can be consumed.

5. Cinnamon:

  • 1 glass water
  • 2 one-inch sticks of cinnamon
    (½ tsp cinnamon powder)

Method:

Into a heating pot, add in one glass of water and the cinnamon sticks/cinnamon powder. Let it come to a boil and then let it simmer for 5 to 6 minutes, until the colour of the water changes. Turn off the flame and let it sit for 5 minutes with a lid on. Then strain this into a cup, add in the honey and lemon juice, stir it well and it is ready to consume.
