Vaseline is one of the most famous brands of petroleum jelly that dates back to its inception in 1872 and has been in use since then! It is made by combining mineral oils and waxes, which form a semi-solid jelly-like substance. Vaseline is occlusive in nature and doesn’t add moisture to the skin, but helps seal and retain moisture already existing in the skin, working as a barrier to repair and protect your skin.

1. For chapped lips:
The problem of chapped lips or cracked lips is very common especially to people living in cold countries or in cities having dry weather. The skin on the lips becomes dry and can start to peel off. So, if you do not have a lip balm, using Vaseline as the lip balm can help do the trick. 2. To heal minor skin burns:
Vaseline can help retain moisture and keep the skin hydrated. Therefore, disinfect the surface and see that the wound is well cleaned using a disinfectant and then apply some Vaseline on the wound. It can help promote the healing process.
3. Thicker eyebrows:
Vaseline deeply conditions your eyebrows and makes them grow thicker. You can also use it for a eyebrow gel to set them in place. Mix black or regular castor oil with Vaseline and apply it before bedtime for thicker eyebrow growth.

Applying some Vaseline on the eyelid and below the eye can help to easily take off eyeshadow and mascara. 6. For cracked heels:
A lot of people suffer from the problem of cracked heels. Vaseline can do the trick. Use an exfoliating scrub around the area (or the recipe given above) and clean the entire area. Then, soothe the dry skin and cracked heels by generously applying a layer of Vaseline over the affected area, before you sleep and wear a pair of socks and leave it overnight. A lot of people have the problem of split ends at the ends of their hair. When the hair is too dry or damaged, exposed to too much sunlight and pollution, hair treatments done too often, weak hair strands, lot of such reasons contribute to the formation of split ends. Well, all you got to do is apply a generous amount of Vaseline to the ends of the hair and leave it on for at least one hour before washing off with a mild shampoo and conditioner.
