Hot Chocolate Mix

10 Easy Premix Recipes:

1. Hot Chocolate Mix

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened cacao powder
  • 1 cup sweetener – coconut sugar or monk fruit sugar
  • ½ cup powdered creamer or milk
  • ½ tsp salt

To make the premix: Into a mixing bowl, add in all the ingredients and give it a mix. Transfer the contents into an airtight container to store.

To use: Use 2 tablespoons of the premix powder with milk, to make a cup of hot chocolate. Top with Whipped cream and enjoy.

2. Mug Cake

Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp refined flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • A pinch of salt

To make the premix:

Into a mixing bowl, add in all the ingredients and give it a mix. Transfer the contents into an airtight container to store.

To use: Transfer the 3 tbsp of this mix into a mug and add in 2 tbsp of oil and 3 tbsp of milk. Mix well and microwave it for 2 minutes and its ready to eat.

3. Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2½ cups refined flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • A pinch of salt

To make the premix:

Into a mixing bowl, add in all the ingredients and give it a mix. Transfer the contents into an airtight container to store.

To use: Mix 1 cup of the premix with 1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla extract and ½ a cup of melted butter. Make into balls and place on a baking tray and bake at 175 degrees celsius for 10 1o 15 minutes.

Instant coffee creamer

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Powdered Milk
  • 1/4 Cup Powdered coconut sugar 
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil (melted)
  • ▢1 tsp Cocoa Powder (optional)

Recipe – Mix the powdered milk and sugar and slowly pour pour in the coconut oil. Mix really well. 

When making coffee add 2 tbsp of the creamer mix to the coffee for instant creaminess. Or you can mix this 4 tbsp powder with 3 tbsp hot milk to use it as liquid creamer in your coffee.

6. Cake Mix

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups refined flour
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • A pinch of salt

To make the premix:

Into a mixing bowl, add in all the ingredients and give it a mix. Transfer the contents into an airtight container to store.

To use: Mix all the contents of this premix in a bowl along with a cup of milk, ½ cup oil, 2 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Mix well, pour into a baking tray and bake until done.

7. Chai Latte Mix

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups instant tea powder
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 cup milk powder
  •  1 cup dairy creamer
  • 2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 2 tsp ginger powder
  • ½ tsp nutmeg powder
  • 1 tsp clove powder
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

To make the premix:

Into a mixing bowl, add in all the ingredients and give it a mix. Transfer the contents into an airtight container to store.

To use: Add 1 tbsp of the premix to a cup of hot water with a little milk. Stir and consume.

Pancake mix powder

8. Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups oats
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup coconut sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda

To make the premix:

Into a blender, add all the ingredients and give it a blend for a smooth powder. Transfer the contents into an airtight container to store (for up to 3 months).

To use: Into a mixing bowl, add in 1 cup of the dry pancake mix along add 1/2  cup milk or more if needed, 2 tablespoons melted butter or oil, and 1 egg. Whisk until smooth and use this batter to make your pancakes.

**If you don’t want to use egg then use 1/2 cup buttermilk ( 1/2 cup milk + 1 tsp vinegar )

Heat a pan and add butter to grease the pan. Pour ¼ cup of batter onto the pan and smooth out gently into a round shape with the back of the measuring cup. Flip and cook on the other side until golden. Serve with maple syrup, honey, or fruit, and enjoy!

9. Brownie Mix

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup refined flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  •  ¼ tsp salt

To make the premix:

Into a mixing bowl, add in all the ingredients and give it a mix. Transfer the contents into an airtight container to store.

To use: Into a large mixing bowl, add in 1 cup of the premix along with ½ a cup of milk, ½ cup of melted butter and mix. Then transfer into a baking tray lined with parchment/baking paper and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

Masala chai mix

10. Masala chai mix –

Nothing beats having a hot cup of masala chai in winter. This spicy and fragrant milky tea is drunk across most of India and much of east Africa. Masala chai is basically black tea made using milk and fragrant spices that also have health benefits.

Ingredients:

  • dry ginger powder – 2 tbsp
  • green cardamom – 2 tbsp
  • cinnamon sticks – 6-8 sticks, about 2 inch
  • cloves – 1 tbsp
  • nutmeg – 1/2, grated
  • fennel seeds – 1 tbsp
  • pepper corns – 2 tsp ( optional)

Recipe – First, you need to dry roast certain spices for few minutes until it is well toasted and aromatic – cinnamon, cloves, pepper, nutmeg grated, fennel seeds and cardamom. Add the roasted spices to a grinder and grind it until fine. Add ginger powder to it and mix well. Sieve the prepared powder to remove any granules and particles. Cool and store in an air-tight container. To use, add 1/4 teaspoon or more of the spice mix to 2 cups of tea and let it simmer. Add milk and filter. Enjoy hot! More on how to make chai tea.
