Iced teas are almost everyone’s favourite drinks and it is super easy to even make at home. Yes, you needn’t have to visit a drink shop each time to get one of your favourite drinks.

Hibiscus Iced Tea

So here, we will let you in on 6 of the easiest ice tea recipes you can make at home and of course, they are healthy as well!

Here are 6 healthy iced tea recipes:

1. Hibiscus Iced Tea

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Fresh Hibiscus Flowers or ½ cup dried Hibiscus Flowers
  • 8 cups Water
  • ¼ cup Honey add more if you like your tea sweeter
  • 3 tablespoons Fresh Lime Juice
  • Mint leaves ( garnish)

Recipe :

Add fresh or dried hibiscus flower petals and water to a boil in a large pot. Once the water starts boiling, switch off the flame and cover the vessel. At this point, you can also add other herbs or add ins such as basil, lemon grass, rosemary lemon zest etc. Let the tea steep for 15-20 minutes. Mix in the honey and lime juice till completely combined. Strain the tea.

Pour into glasses filled with ice and garnish with fresh mint.

2. Ginger Lemon Iced Tea

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 herbal tea bags
  • 2 sprigs mint
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 lemon, juice (divided)
  • honey, or to taste

Recipe :

Add water to a pot along with ginger and mint leaves and bring it to a boil. Add 4 bags of herbal tea and let it steep for 4-5 mins. Strain the water and when the water is lukewarm – add honey and juice of one lemon. Stir and give it a taste. Adjust the amount of honey to your liking. Set in the refrigerator until it’s cold. Serve with lemon slices, mint sprigs, and ice cubes.

Turmeric cinnamon Iced Tea

3. Turmeric Cinnamon Iced Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1–2 Tbsp. black or green loose leaf tea
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. turmeric
  • 1 tsp.+ maple syrup, honey, or sweetener of choice

Recipe :

Add the tea, cinnamon, and turmeric to a cup. Add hot water halfway and let it steep for 3-5 minutes stirring once. Pour into an ice-filled glass, add in the sweetener, and serve with a lemon slice.

4. Turmeric Iced tea

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp tea leaves/powder
    (Or 1 herbal tea bag)
  • ¼ tsp organic turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • ½ tsp lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 glass water
  • Honey to taste

Recipe :

Into a heating pot, add in the water and let it get heated. Then, drop in the tea leaves/powder (or tea bag), along with the grated ginger and let this mixture come to a boil. Once it starts boiling, lower the heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes before turning off the heat.

Then, add in the turmeric powder while it is still hot, give it a stir and then close the pot with a lid until it cools down. Once it is cooled, strain into a glass and place it in the refrigerator until it is chilled.

Once it is chilled, add in the lemon juice (optional), along with some honey to taste, give it a stir and it is ready to consume.

5. Green Tea Lemon Iced Tea

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 green tea bags
  • handful of mint leaves ( option)
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • ¼ cup lemon juice freshly squeezed

Recipe :

Place 2 cups water in a sauce pan and bring it to simmer along with mint leaves ( if you are using mint leaves). Add the tea bags and steep for three to five minutes. Take the tea bags out and discard them. Stir in the honey and lemon juice. Add the remaining two cups of water and stir well. Let the drink cool to room temperature and then serve with ice.

Iced Masala Tea

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups water
  • 1/3 cup natural sweetener of your choice
  • 2–3” fresh ginger, sliced
  • 5 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon peppercorns
  • 2 vanilla beans ( optional)
  • 3 star anise
  • 10 cloves
  • 2 teaspoons cardamom seeds
  • 5 black tea bags

Recipe :

In a medium pot, bring the water and sweetener to a boil and simmer until the sweetener is fully dissolved. Add all of the spices, and continue to simmer on low heat for 20 minutes. Remove the mixture from the heat, add the tea bags, and let them steep for 10 minutes. Strain out the spices and tea bags and store your chai concentrate in the fridge. To serve, mix roughly equal parts milk and tea concentrate and top with ice.
