I’m sure that everybody looks out for different ways to detox and cleanser your body after a holiday. So here are six different types of detox water that you can drink to help you get that perfect skin glow.

It has astringent properties that can improve the appearance of the skin, making the skin glow and become radiant. It helps keep the skin hydrated and well-moisturized making it soft and supple.

To make: Add 5 to 6 slices of cucumber along with 5-6 mint leaves in a glass of coconut water and keep it covered for four hours or overnight. Strain it before consuming in the morning.

  1. Ginger Water

Ginger is one of the most beneficial ingredients when it comes to skin health because it can help flush out the harmful toxins from the body when consumed.

It has high antioxidant properties that can promote better skin health and even out skin tone. The consumption of ginger helps promote blood circulation in the body, which in turn helps the skin cells to get nourished and rejuvenated.

It can help even out the skin tone naturally and promote a healthy skin glow as ginger contains antioxidants like gingerols that can help fight free radical damage on the skin.

To make: Heat 2 cups of water on the stove and add ¼ tsp of grated ginger and 2 stems of coriander or parsley leaves into it when the water comes to a boil. Turn off the stove, Squeeze in some lemon juice, strain, and consume.

Mint leaves are well-know to brighten skin complexion. Mint leaves help keep the skin moisturized and hydrated, evens out skin tone and helps treat acne.

It helps in rejuvenating the skin and slows down the signs of ageing like wrinkles and fine lines.

Mint water has astringent properties that can help improve one’s skin tone naturally. It can help keep the skin well-hydrated and supple.

To make: Blend 1 cup of watermelon with 1 cup of water and 8-10 mint leaves. Strain into a glass cup, add in a dash of cayenne pepper and drink.

  1. Chia Water

Drinking chia water can help boost skin health, as it has anti-inflammatory properties. It can also help prevent aging with its anti-aging formula, of tightening the skin and promoting proper blood circulation.

It also has hydrating properties that can help not just prevent, but can also help calm and soothe skin infections and relieve the skin from irritation. It helps restore the skin’s natural pH levels.

Drinking lemon water can help improve blood circulation and promote collagen production in the skin, which will help keep away wrinkles and fine lines and delay the onset of aging in the skin.

To make – In a jar add in 500ml of water long with 5-6 lemon slices and orange slices and cucumber slices. Let it soak for 4-5 hours or overnight and then consume it throughout the day.

Green tea has anti-inflammatory properties and can help reduce skin irritation, skin redness, and swelling. It can help improve skin elasticity, moisturize the skin and slow down the aging process. It can also help protect the skin against sun damage.

Green tea or matcha tea contains a type of plant-based compound called catechin, formally known as epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which acts as a natural antioxidant. It has anti-inflammatory properties, which can be very beneficial to skin health and for people with acne.

It can also help treat skin infections, skin redness, minor cuts, sunburns, etc. It also contains methylxanthines which is a type of drug that can help stimulate microcirculation in the skin and help it look healthier and more radiant and gives your skin a glow up by supporting a healthy complexion.

To make: Blend 1 cup of green tea along with 1 apple and 4-5 strawberries. Strain and drink it in the morning.

7. Cinnamon Detox Water

 Cinnamon has a lot of health benefits, a pinch of Cinnamon in your milk or tea can be helpful in managing your wellness and maintaining a healthy weight.  

To make: Heat 2 cups of water on the stove and add 1 inch cinnamon stick, 4 cloves and 1 sliced apple. Bring the water comes to a boil and then simmer for 10 mins. Turn off the stove and enjoy the cinnamon water along with apple slices.

When to drink these detox water drinks?

The best time to consume these detox water drinks are on an empty stomach in the morning and then wait for around half an hour before consuming any other food or beverage.
