Tea can be used in many different ways around your home and for your beauty. It has properties that nourish your skin, promote hair growth, and treat common ailments. It is also full of antioxidants and has a calming effect on the body, reducing stress and anxiety.


Window cleaner – You just need this one ingredient for clean, sparkly windows and mirrors. Brew a strong cup of black tea and pour it in a spray bottle. Spray this on your window or mirrors and buff the tea away with a newspaper.

Brighten eyes – After you brew a cup of green tea, freeze the used bag and use it under your eyes to soothe a tired eye or get rid of puffy eyes.

Dye cloths – You can easily dye your kitchen napkins or cloths at home by using tea. You can use any tea of your choice that has a deep color to it. Brew a big pot of tea using 1 litre of water along with 3-4 tea bags. Boil the tea for 5-10 mins. Remove from the flame and add your fabric to it. Let the fabric soak in the tea for few hours or overnight for a deep color. In the morning, rinse off the tea and dry the fabric.

Foot soak – Brew a strong cup of peppermint tea and add in few drops of tea tree essential oil. Soak your feet for 10-15 mins and using a pumice stone gently exfoliate your feet.

Grey hair dye – Black tea is excellent to dye your hair. Brew a strong cup of black tea and add 1 tbsp of dried amla to it. Let the amla soak in the tea overnight. Pour this mixture on your hair after shampoo, let it sit for 10-15 mins and rinse it off.

Weight loss – Green tea is great when it comes to burning belly fat and speeds up the metabolism to further help to lose the overall weight.

Shrink acne – After you brew a cup of chamomile or green tea, freeze the used tea bags. Just place a used cold tea bag on your acne or pimple for 5 mins. The tea has amazing anti-inflammatory benefits that reduces the swelling and redness.

Periods cramps – Ginger tea has anti-inflammatory properties to soothe the pain. You can use fresh or dried ginger or ginger powder to brew a cup of ginger tea. Fennel tea is made from fennel seeds that is known for its anti-carminative properties, that is used in traditional medicines for bloating, gas, and digestive issues.
