JOJOBA OIL for glowing skin and shiny hair

JOJOBA OIL BENEFITS

1. Helps keep away blackheads and acne:

Jojoba oil helps to retain moisture on the skin without clogging the pores. It can also prevent the buildup of bacteria in the pores of the face, which is a big cause for blackheads and acne. It can also help reduce wrinkles and prevent ageing. It can also be helpful for sunburns and skin burns. Add few drops to your moisturizer to add a glow to your skin.

2. Helpful for the hair and prevent hair fall:

Jojoba oil can be helpful in conditioning the scalp and preventing scalp dryness, in turn avoiding dandruff and itchiness. It can help with hair loss as the chemical makeup of jojoba oil is close to the oils that naturally occur on the human scalp and can be beneficial for the hair. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and can reduce itchiness and irritation causing damage to the hair follicles and thereafter, hair fall.

3. Acts as a natural lip balm:

Lip skin is very sensitive and requires additional care. Jojoba oil contains essential vitamins such as vitamin B, vitamin E and minerals like zinc and copper which can help keep the lip skin soft and moisturized. It can be applied on the lips and gently massaged in to avoid dryness and cracks.

4. Natural cleanser:

Oil cleansing is using of oils instead of face wash or soap to cleanse and clean the face and remove the dirt and grime from the skin. You can use jojoba oil for the skin and gently massage, like you use your regular face wash and then wash your face with regular or lukewarm water and pat dry with a towel.

5. Can decrease oiliness of the skin:

Jojoba oil is similar, as compared to the sebum (oily waxy substance) produced by our sebaceous glands. The skin glands will begin to produce more oil, when the skin becomes dry. So therefore, you can massage a little jojoba oil into your skin, so that the glands are stimulated and do not require to produce excess oil. This can keep the skin healthy and reduce dullness and oiliness.

6. Can help promote collagen synthesis:

Collagen is a protein found in the body, which provides structure to the skin and strengthens the bones. As one gets older, the levels of collagen in the body also begin to decrease. Massaging the skin with jojoba oil can help stimulate the production of collagen and promote elasticity of the skin.

7. Keeps the skin moisturized:

Jojoba oil can act as a humectant (a substance used to retain or preserve moisture). Its application can form a thin film, over the skin, like a skin barrier and protect the skin from harmful bacterial buildup in the pores, keeping it hydrated and supple. Use it everyday to massage your face, apply jojoba oil and use a jade roller or your finger tips to massage your face for 5 mins.

8. Can help remove makeup:

Jojoba oil acts as a natural cleansing agent. You can find the recipe below to make a simple jojoba oil makeup remover at home.

9. Nail growth:

Massage 2-3 drops of jojoba oil on your cuticles every night before going to bed to strengthen and grow longer nails.
