A lovely cold glass of iced coffee is something to die for and why just have the traditional iced coffee when there are so many variations you can make with just coffee!  So, here is everything about cold coffee, from types of cold coffee with recipe, we have listed all.

TYPES OF ICED COFFEE

Note: All these recipes are made with dairy/cow milk and therefore, for anyone who is lactose-intolerant or vegan, then you can simply substitute the milk in these recipes with any other milk of your choice like almond milk, oat milk, sesame milk, peanut milk, soy milk, coconut milk etc.

1. Iced Coffee – Iced coffee is a type of cold coffee that is made by brewing coffee which is then poured over ice cubes. It can be made with regular coffee or with espresso. You can have different variations by making it with or without milk and/or cream.

2. cold brew – Cold brew coffee is made without any heat at all. The ground beans are simply steeped in cold filtered water for a long period of time in order to extract their flavor.

3. Americano – The drink can be made with either one or two shots of espresso and ice. They are served without any sweeteners or milk but they can be offered as options on the side.

You will need:

  • 1 doubleshot espresso
  • ½ cup ice
  • 8oz Cold water

Add espresso shots over ice cubes, Swirl and taste. Add cold water, if desired.

4. Latte – Iced latte is prepared by brewing an espresso, milk, and any other additional flavor of your choice.

You will need:

  • 1 cup ice
  • 4oz espresso
  • 3/4cup whole milk
  • sweetener of choice, such as Vanilla Syrup ( optional)
  • Whipped Cream ( optional)

Pour the espresso into a 16 oz glass filled with ice. Add the liquid sweetener to the glass. Pour the milk and optional sweetener into a mason jar, seal the jar and shake it really well. Pour the milk into the glass with espresso.

5. Mocha – Are you favourite drinks chocolate and milk and cold coffee? Well, how about have this two-in-one mocha iced coffee with the perfect blend of both your favourite drinks!

You will need :

  • 2 ounces espresso
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1-2 tablespoons chocolate syrup or Mocha sauce
  • Whipped cream

Prepare 1 shot of espresso and pour into a glass. Now add in the mocha sauce or chocolate syrup and stir it in. Froth the milk and gently pour it into the glass. Top it off with a fabulous dollop of whipped cream and chocolate shavings as a garnish.

6. Affogato –  is an Italian coffee-based dessert that is served with ice-cream and coffee.

You will need –

2 scoops vanilla icecream
1/4 cup espresso or brewed coffee

Add ice-cream to a bowl or a cup and pour in the coffee on top of it. Garnish with chocolate shavings and a pinch of sea salt.  The best way to enjoy an affogato is with a spoon, eat the ice cream first and then drink the coffee along with any melted ice cream.

7. Vietnamese Iced Coffee – a chilled combination of concentrated robusta coffee along with creamy and sweet condensed milk is an undeniably well-balanced and refreshing drink.

You will need :

  • 1 heaped tbsp ground coffee
  • 1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk, or to taste
  • 300 mL boiling water
  • Ice cubes

Method:

Make filter coffee with coffee grounds and hot water. Put the sweetened condensed milk into a glass with ice cubes. Pour in the filter coffee. Stir coffee and sweetened condensed milk together. Add ice and enjoy.

8. Frappe –  it is an iced coffee drink that has been shaken, blended or beaten to produce a tasty, foamy, and refreshing drink.

You will need :

  • 2 cups ice cubes crushed
  • 1 cup espresso or coffee
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp. sweetener optional
  • Whipped cream optional

Combine the ice, coffee, milk and sweetener and mix well using a shaker ( shake vigorously for few secs). Use a blender until the ingredients are blended well. Once all the ingredients are blended well, pour the drink into your chilled mug. Then, add the whipped cream and additional toppings if desired. 

9. Macchiato – The basic ingredients of macchiato is ice, milk, and espresso. The espresso shot is poured last and directly over the milk, where the espresso gradually sinks into the milk, creating a visually appealing effect.

You will need :

  • 1oz homemade Vanilla Syrup (or storebought)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 shots Espresso ​
  • Ice cubes
  • homemade Caramel Sauce (or storebought) for garnish

Add Vanilla syrup to a glass followed by cold milk. Fill the glass with ice cubes and pour in the espresso shots. Top it up with caramel syrup.

10. Iced Cappuccino – If you love the flavor of cinnamon along with coffee, this recipe will give you the perfect blend of both!

You will need :

  • 1 shot of espresso 
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • 6-8 ice cubes
  • 80ml cold milk

Add ice cubes to your favorite coffee mug, pour in the espresso shot and mix well. Froth the milk using a milk frother and add it to the mug. Top it off with a pinch of cinnamon.
