CLEAR ROSE WATER RECIPE
To make rose water, you will need –
- Fresh garden flowers or organic pesticide-free roses.
( you can also use this method with other flowers or herbs to make your own hydrosol at home)
- Filtered water
To make – The steam water distillation process can be used to create clear and highly fragrant rosewater. Rinse the rose petals to remove any dirt or impurities. Next, place a deep pot and add a brick or heavy bowl at the bottom of the pot. Sprinkle the roses next to the bowl and add in enough water to cover the petals. Next, place another bowl on the top to collect the rose water. Cover the pot with the lid and bring the water to boil.

Once the water started to boil, turn the flame to low and let it simmer. Place ice cubes on top of the lid. Once the ice cubes melt, remove the water with a spoon, and add in more ice cubes, to help with the condensation of the evaporated rose water. Let the water simmer for 20-30 mins. Closely remove the lid and pour the rose water in a glass jar. The clear distilled rose water should be good for 2-3month in a cool dry place. I like to refrigerate mine to keep it fresh and last long. READ MORE – TURMERIC CUBES FOR CLEAR, GLOWING AND HEALTHY SKIN
