Ingredients:
- Carrot
- Turmeric root
- Amla / indian gooseberry
- Water
- Pepper (optional)
Method:
Wash the carrots, turmeric root and amla under running water to get rid of dirt and other impurities. You can also soak them in water for around half an hour before using them for the turmeric shot. Chop up the carrot and amla into pieces and set aside in a bowl. Scrape off the skin of the turmeric root and cut into slices and set aside.
Into a blender, add in the carrots, turmeric root and amla along with the water and blend into a fine and smooth liquid without any lumps.
Pour it into a glass and it is ready to serve. You can add a dash of pepper powder for flavoring if you wish to. You can also refrigerate this drink for a while and consume it cold if you wish to.
